I don't know if he's a member of our organization, but I found this this morning and didn't find it within our search. Merriamcycle.com
Seems to specialize in the XS1100's . Has alot of high performance stuff that might be of interest.

Might sound stupid, but no. I just found them out. Seems to be quite the place. I think that sometime this summer, when I have the time, I'll probably take a trip down there to check things out. It's only about a 5 hr ride.

Bob Jones, owner of Merriam Cycles used to be a regular member of our group back in the Yahoo Groups days. Don't see him much anymore. He is a wealth of knowlege about the XS's though, and his products and staff are great. I have dealt with them many times.

Regrettably Bob Jones passed away this year, and his website and services are no longer available! :(

Didn't he start xs11.com?

Mr. Schweer

I'm surprised that he didn't have anyone to keep the business/flame going. Aside from the obvious, I'm bummed that site isn't up anymore. I loved going to his site and dreaming......:)

Didn't he start xs11.com?

That would be... JP Honeywell

I don't remember the story... but IIRC, the group actually started over at Yahoo... then JP brought it over here...
TC was one of the original members and would be able to answer more of this one...

Merriam XS has a store on ebay. I beleive it is overseed by his Wife Karla Jones aka "Kark" Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's where i bought XS11 Heaven earlier this year. Read it in two days couldn't put it down. Bob was just as amazing as the best made all around motorcycle there ever "IS" Our Beloved Steed The XS1100:)

Mostly correct...

Here's the link to the ebay store...

merriamxs (http://shop.ebay.com/merriamxs/m.html)

Russ79 and his wife, as well as Bohn Frazer... have been helping Karla (karkj here on the site) out with the inventory...

and if you're interested in one of Bob's books XS Eleven Heaven... they can help you get hooked up...

Hey XS11Lover,

From the HOME page, you'll see a link in the right hand side that says ABOUT US, click on that, then click on the first FAQ link, and you'll be taken to
this page of history about XS11.com (http://www.xs11.com/faqs/10-what-is-the-xs-xj-eleven-owners-association.html)

and that's the rest of the story, or that's the way it is! :p

Thanks Wildkat for clarifying that, didn't have my morning go juice at posting time:)
