Flasher Mod in Tech Tips

The flasher mod is listed in the Tech Tips Section, under electrical. It shows how to build a flasher unit that retains the self cancelling feature. It works well, I've had it for awhile and never...

Bonz,

Glad you were able to squeeze the rally in while the weather was good. Sounds like it was a big success.

The weather here in the Chicago area is always a crap shoot, you never know...

Apologies for the Midwest

Jeff,

Sorry the Midwest has been treating you so poorly! Very rainy summer here, flooding all over the place, rivers are at all time highs in my area. Difficult to get to work with roads closed,...

Glad you're OK

Ty,

Glad that was just a close call and not an accident. Sounds like your instincts kicked in and you made the right moves. Good to hear you're OK.

Sorry to hear the news about your wife,...

You following me?

Thanks Harry, I tried hard to keep a pace I felt comfortable with. Appreciate everyone being cool about it. Look forward to riding together again, but if it's all the same I'll try and follow you.

Great experience

Bob, you're absolutely right, I did gain confidence and experience. Pike's Peak was quite a challenge, a lot of things seem easier now having done that climb! Look forward to riding with you again....

Awesome rally!

Made it home safe and sound around 4pm Chicago time, no issues. Des Moines Iowa does not like me, bad storms both ways, out and back. Nothing like rain, lightning and wind!

I want to say thanks...

Thanks Motoman. I was thinking of avoiding the interstate for at least one way, probably the ride to Colorado. Not sure of the best route.

Hey Scott,

I was just wondering a couple of things about the rally. How much sleep were you able to get over the 11 days? I know there were a few rest bonuses, but what kind of sleep per night...

Way to go Scott

I just saw the results from the first leg and Scott Thornton is in 26th place! He's already ridden over 4,000 miles. 3 out of the top 5 are Yamaha FJR's. Great showing for Yamaha. Way to go Scott!
