Yes it was post number 7 but we were getting off track because he wanted to rejuvenate the gasket rather than get new.

Just make sure that all of the hole punches are removed. Sometimes they are left in the gasket. One more thing, don't strip the bowl screw holes like I did once.

Make sure that the pressed-in air jet is clean. It is in the inlet bell of the carb and I think it bleeds air to those emulsion tubes.
