turn signal wiring

80SG turn signals quit tracked it back to the switch wire had popped off gettng it out four others came loose any idea which wire goes where? this is what the bottom of the switch looks like ...

if you look up the part you need on Partzilla it...

if you look up the part you need on Partzilla it will usually tell you what other models used the same part, as said a lot of stuff interchanges

NO not a jig saw they jerk up and down to much and will case cracking, use a band saw (best) a dremel tool is doable but slow with a lot of clean up with a mill file also easier to rework the edge...

if I fill mine (80 XS) to the top line it uses oil until it's about mid level between the lines and then seems to hold there, another case of Yamaha over filling? like the XS650s?

I'd be a bit concerned about replacing a 30 Amp...

I'd be a bit concerned about replacing a 30 Amp with a 50 Amp, what's going to burn before that 50 trips? kind of like sticking a penny behind a old screw-in fuse

measure your pipe outlets then look at cheery bomb or thrush glasspaks lots of different pipe diameters and lenghts, you would have to make or buy some hanger brackets

check your grounds, a couple under one end of the voltage reg/rec, may be another between engine and frame under the air cleaner box and battery frame ground

Yeah not shy about his opinion, don't matter, I like both my XS1100 and my XLH1100 different rides but the same fun, just depends what you're trying to do I guess and spend most of my yearly miles on...
