I would encourage you to try the Sea Foam treatment. My pilot jets were already clogging again, even after the through cleaning just awhile ago.

I used a strong mixture and ran a tank...

Ditto cleaning the pilot jets...just had to do that this summer for the same reason. Left my bike setting in the garage too long during 100 plus degree weather without starting it once in a while.

The detail is I replaced the OEM coils with Dynatek DC-1 coils and Accel 8mm yellow copper...

I didn't replace the steel plates. My records show I replaced clutch plates and clutch springs purchased at Parts-N-More.

As I recall the steels were fine.

What kind of motor oil are you guys using. I used the 4 stroke cycle oil because I read somewhere...

Yes, the clutch plates were soaked in oil before installation. I also have about 3k on the engine now.

The oil I use is Castrol 4T 20w-50 4 stroke motorcycle oil.
