I have no centerstand issue. It's mounted and has a stop. If it fails to clear the exhaust, I see how to fix it. My issue is the kick stand and I believe Mike has offered the solution.

Several vendors have the kit. I believe it's a K&L kit. My experience is that they leak. The packing (o'ring) isn't thick enough.

Buy a stock airbox and stick with stock jetting. I believe the aggressive needles in the Special wonít play well with altered jets. No hard data on that, just my hunch.

Yes, but why? The internal parts are missing from the '80 and the cover has no boss to protect from wear if you use it regularly.
