Hi,

In this kind of weather, 80F, if fully choked mine will shoot up, not quite that high, but much higher than say when the temp is 50F. Just back off the choke till it goes to a normal speed.

are you sure that gauge is working right? I had a vacuum gauge go south on me and practically drive me up a wall, whatever you need to do to doublecheck the gauge, try that.
