Thumbs up 1980 for 1000 bucks

I got the HP number from the Clymers I got with the bike. Won't swear it's accurate. The PO had swapped out the front end, which may explain the rotors.

Exclamation looking for your thoughts on this exhaust situation

WOW! Better make some stout support brackets for those zoomies! Those HD bagger mufflers probably weigh 10 lbs. each-minimum. I'm far from a guru, but you should be aware you'll have to rejet your...

Nick,

Do you know what # Vetter it is? If you post a pic of it, or even the one piece mount, it would be helpful. Shipping can be a bear from Michigan to Mass., but my repaired unit is still kinda...

Thumbs up Chrome removal

Damian is on the right track. If the chrome isn't pitted, just use a palm sander with 100 grit sandpaper to rough up the surface and get the shiny stuff gone. You don't have to get thru to bare...

Thumbs up Tracy Fairing

Where did you get the trunk, and how pricey? I've been shopping for a good box to replace the junk I have. Looks like it would be worth the dough.

Thumbs up 80 standard G fairing & windshield question

Thanks Cy, and all those who kicked in. That seems to be the consensus. Mine appears to be a WJ IV, and one of our member's has just what I need. Nailing down this little tidbit has been more hassle...

Thumbs up 80 standard G fairing & windshield question

Yeah Nate, Biker Phil said the same thing. I'm working on the pics. Strange thing; on a website for new WS's, there's no difference you can see between the Vetter 3, 4 or 5-just how the mounts are...

Thumbs up Looking for my old bike...New England

FWIW, if you have a contact in LE, ask them to track the VIN nation/worldwide for a registration. If they're GOOD friends, and are savvy, they will come up with a lie that will fly for the search....

Thumbs up Vetter frame mount fairing CHEAP!!!

Ditto to CB's inquiry. Is it a Windjammer-and what model; 3,4,5? This can get tricky. Best bet is to post a pic, or you can email one, if you're techno-inept-like me. Trying to rebuild a recently...

Thumbs up ignition assy. w/ timing cover, front rotors, etc.

Larry,
Looked on a website that sells new WS for Vetter's, and can't see a lot of difference between the 3,4, or 5 in shape. It asks if you have 9 mounting holes, or 7 with the 2 clips on all of...

Thumbs up Looking for 80sg passenger backrest/luggage rack

Nate,

I've got one that I ran on my '80 standard G. Looks like the one with the pouch on the back of the backrest. It's in pretty good shape, but don't know if it'll work for you.
