The board has been coated in what must be a liquid plastic glue like substance.

Okay. Sounds logical.
Took apart the dash unit and got down to the monitor circuit board. Everything about the board looks great. It is even coated in liquid plastic to keep everything sealed...

Okay, I still have a vacuum leak. I didn't take the throttle shafts out when cleaning the carbs. Mistake. The seals are less than good.:eek: Throttle plate screws are a pita.:(
