Innards had some funky stuff in there, but everything wiped right off and looks like new.

M/C innards are held in by the circlip which is hidden by that damn rubber boot.

When does the piston get reinserted? Before or after installing the PIA rubber boot/retaining ring? Neither way seems to be working for me.

It's been a while since doing any work on the SG.
so,
here's a dumb question. How does that brake light connection disconnect from the m/c.
I removed the ring and it's basically not pulling off. ...
