1979 110sf Tach
So, based on what I read here, a fluctuating tachometer COULD mean dirty bearings. I sprayed the inside wit electrical cleaner. Note: it doesn't hurt the electronics, but it will take the paint off...

Kick starter
I have 1979 Yamaha XS1100SF. I see the shaft for the kick starter under a plastic cap. Handy thing to have if battery goes dead. Where is the kick starter lever? Were they sold with the bikes or...
