Carb boots

Hi All,
Slowly getting back to the project. Has anyone tried the aftermarket carb boots? looking at changing out the boots but Yamaha wants 70 per boot and aftermarket looks like 100 for the set. Want to use correct parts and not have to fight the fit but I don't want to have to sell the bike to afford them.

Thanks

I got the Carb boots from mikes xs. A shop put them on for me. Looks great a few years later.

Take yer pick

Georgefix has 'em :

MikesXS :

Partzilla :

Or if your budgets tight give Andreas Weiss a call to see if he has a decent set.

Most of us have used Yamabond or Three bond instead of the gaskets that come with the new boots.

The heat from the head wreaks havoc on the gaskets, plus you get an extra mm of room to install the carbs.

Maybe so, but these parts are the same for ALL XS1100s.

I just got the set from Georgefix on eBay, they were here in a few days and look to be the same as ones Iíve paid far more for. I was happy with them.

I got mine from Parts-n-More. That was more years ago than I remember. They still look as new.
