I wish there were better words, but "I'm sorry" seems to be the best way to put it. It is always difficult to loose a friend, and in some cases, just somone you know.
As far as cage driver go... There was s study that indicated humans see horizonatally, not vertically, and thinner upright objects, even when moving, don't get recognized as quickly or instinctively as objects that have a more horizontal orientation. It always astonished me that people "failed to see" a 600+ pound bike with a rider on it in daylight in good driving conditions, but I recognize this happens and try to drive accordingly. I have no doubt that I will not die in bed. Given my motorcycle riding, ATV trips, and snowmobile outings sooner or later someone will not "see me" and that will be it.
