I fixed up one badly rusted H tank for longer rides and because I liked the look on the SG. Wish I had time for any rides this year!

Unfortunately until I retire or just abandon the big city the bike is 2hours away. Makes it hard to get time. Last year I put maybe 200 miles on it. I really end up just having time to keep it in running condition for the day ahead when I can ride all I want. I might be a late addition to XSNE in Barre VT this year, tho. You never know. But unlikely...

So I live vicariously through you all!

H Tank

The tank auction ended. Did not sell. No bids. Likely will re-list?

This tank is about 30 miles east of me. It was listed before and I contacted the seller and made arrangements to meet him and look at the tank, I was curious to see what a NOS Venturer tank looked like. Let me tell you, it's beautiful! That blue color with the contrasting white decals and gold pin striping is really nice. It does have a tiny scratch near the gas cap because of a staple in the top flap of the box and some residue from some glue off some tape. When you see that paint color in the light it's easy to see why some guys fell in love with those Venturers. I guess it's still not worth $550, at least not yet.

For those who are curious or are following this. The tank was relisted and now with 90 minutes left in the auction, there is one bid of $325.

Nope, I bought it. I don't like the way it looks so I'm going to do my own thing with it, I think I'll cut it down because I don't like to ride that long and it just hold too much gas. Then, since I'm building a rat bike/café racer, I'm going to paint it flat black, with a brush then take a wire wheel to it to get my desired effect.

kidding.... just thought I'd wring Ben up. Smooches.
