Heck yeah, glad to help you out.

CZ (CaptonZap) is always looking for a reason to ride down this way, he's a great set of eyes and ears on these bikes too.

Keep us posted!

yup.....absolutely cold! Had more brawn than brains back then when it was new. Figured if I had to keep insurance on it since fiananced, ride it year round. Bike cover on it outside, covered under that with blankets and a heat lamp under it so it would start in the morning to ride the 12 miles to work(lived north of the UnitedCampground another 8mi. that your familiar with from the rally). If I knew then what I know now, it would of started more often had I put petcocks in prime position. Imagine those petcock diaphrams were too stiff at those temps. alot of times, not allowing the carbs to stay full for easier starting.

I admire your determination, but in retrospect I say this knowing you won't take any offense... when I call you NUTS!

No offense taken, as that's being mild considering some of the REAL shinanigins I've pulled off unscaved on that scoot and others over the decades...

Hey Sebastian, you still out there? Wondering if you got the bike picked up like you hoped.

CaptonZap came down this way today and we serviced the steering head bearings on my 80G which were in great shape along with good looking grease inside as well. The previous owner or someone along the way had serviced them at some point, so thank you previous owner. Also got the wiring dialed in/sorted for mounting the stock headlamp/turn signals in place of the Pacifico fairing that came on it.

Pulled the fork tubes to replace a leaky seal on one of them, I curse the previous owner that apparently used loctite on the allen bolts that hold the damper rods in place. CURSE YOU, PREVIOUS OWNER, CURSE YOU!

Anyway, let me/us know how it's going with the bike.
