Wiseco 1179 kit on Amazon for $85

That is a phenomenal price, I paid over $400 IIRC for mine back in 2000.
Plus this is FORGED pistons, not cast, allegedly a bit stronger.
As for the 10.25:1 ratio, that is possibly if used in the earlier model years, the later years are probably a bit less since the stock was reduced from 9.2 down to 9.0:1.

I will say that my Comp values were 175-180 PSI across all 4 after breakin at SEA LEVEL, YMMV!

As of this post, they still listed 4 kits available.

Yeah. I was amazed. Just perusing Amazon for xs parts and came across that. Couldn't pass it up. Perfect timing too since I'm in the middle of a ball hone rebuild. Guess i can hold of throwing the head back on and do this right.

I can verify that I saw it at the price that Tobiczyk quoted... That price was still listed there this morning,,,something like $58.00 plus $27.00 shipping. An amazing price that I foolishly procrastinated on and when I went back this afternoon to buy it,,,it was listed at $548...I hope a few of you captured the deal! I'll be curious to hear from you if Amazon actually honors it.

It’s called ‘market pricing’. Sellers will post an item, at say $58, and if they start getting a lot of interest/sales the prices are automatically increased based on demand. Not at all uncommon with internet based stores.
