Is this a good, bad or ugly gas tank cleaner/sealer?

I never tried it. I use the epoxy from Caswell. I've never heard of it failing when properly applied.

Hey Marty,
I had a problem with Caswell, probably me. I've seen Por-15 get all weird too, was not me someone else.

The best way I've found Evaporust, eats the rust out. Once the tank is flushed, look inside (dental mirror). If no rust dry ASAP (compressor and blow gun) then final rinse with a couple bottles of yellow HEET and put into service ASAP.

If you still want to coat before you put it into service, you have a nice clean surface and the best chance of a successful coating application.
