Photo submission guidelines
Picture submissions should be of reasonable size, with good color balance, focus, and contrast. Reasonable size or contrast is easily described as "the average person can distinguish the features of your bike. An example of a great picture to you but not us is: BIG mountain in background with a very small bike visible or your bike with the sun behind it or under a shady tree. We do not mean this as an insult to your photo. While it may be nice, the focus here is on the Yamaha XS/XJ 1100 bike series and its components.
Please note:
- Sorry, pictures containing nudity or obscene gestures are not posted to this site. (www.tarheel.ws will accept these and is not in any way connected to xs11.com)
- Include: Name, Bike model, online moniker, other pertinent info, and whether you want your real name published.
- Please limit the size to 800x600 pixels.
- JPEG format is preferred. GIF, PNG, BMP and ZIP (for multiple files - limit 500kB) are also accepted.
- Webmaster and/or Photo Editor reserve the right to resize, reformat, or edit a picture as deemed necessary.
- Webmaster and/or Photo Editor also reserve the right to refuse to publish any picture or, to remove once published, any picture (ie: notification of use of copyrighted material).
- Submission of a picture implies your permission for us to publish it and use it in any way without compensation of any type to you. If you do not own the picture, be sure to notify us when you send it in.
- WEBMASTERS: If you see an image on our site that is solely your copyrighted material, please let us know and send evidence of copyright/ownership. We do not knowingly infringe on anyone's copyright and will gladly remove the picture or seek your permission to allow it to remain.

Image Scanning Offer
This service is offered to people, free of charge (however, a small donation to xs11.com would be appreciated), that have pictures but no way to email them. There is a limit of five (5). Once scanned, acceptable photos will be published on our site and then, if requested, emailed to you. If you want your original pictures returned to you, you must include a self-address envelope with appropriate postage (ie: US and amount) for their return.
