How to Make a Throttle Wrist RestJust thought I'd share the cheap way to have a throttle wrist rest. If you use a hose clamp threaded through two slots cut in the ends of an appropriately cut piece of thin aluminum (won't rust in weather) you can make your own. I made one about 17 years ago and it's still going strong. The advantage over the grip/rest is that this is easily adjustable.
Fold the metal strip in half to about a 35-45 degree angle. Thread the hose clamp through the slots and slide over the end of your throttle grip. the end view should look something like this
Then tighten the hose clamp to hold the wedge in place, not too tight as this will bind the throttle to the handlebar. [make sure you sand all the sharp edges and corners off - Ed.] After you have used it while riding at cruising altitude for awhile then you can use your favorite black tape to cover it nice and neat. Hope this helps. Michael Saar
