Anyway, depending if it was in the 80’s... maybe it was M1 10w30 (for colder temps in Colorado) you used? Synthetic car oils back then did have growing pains with the proper additive packages.

FWIW, I have run syn, syn blend and conventional in no particular order in the XS and ZRX. No slips either from the 40 year old XS or the 17 year old ZRX.
