project custom build - 79 XS1100

hi im a newbie here from manila, philippines...me and my mechanic are finishing up a custom....we used an old Suzuki GSX front and rear suspension, an old Kawasaki Zephyr tank/seat and cowl...an old but longer virago XS750 swing arm to accomodate under the seat mufflers and FZX 750 magwheel with 150/80/R15 tire...im thinking of using a rearset and lose the front fender...

How wide is that rear rim?
Swing arm/drive shaft just bolted up without have to make changes to the XS frame?

BTW, welcome to XS11

tnx for the compliments....used FZX 750 rear rim....it accommodated my dunlop 150/80/R15 tire...we are like frankensteins here..we use available parts that my mechanic Danny had collected thru the years at the shop...well with regards to the swingarm, we made it wider to accomodate a wider rim/tires, this is the only major mod that we did...one other thing, the rear rim hub from the FZX 750(baby VMAX, that is what we call it here) is an orig chain sprocket type, we did some mods to it to accommodate the shaft drive....i guess this is the second major mod that we did...we ensured that the rear tire is dead centered along the frame...

my mistake...its an XV750 swingarm...from a virago that is...yeah its much longer than our xs1100 swingarm

tnx for the compliments sir...we gave a good clearance from the seat that is why we had no problems with the muffler's surface heat emmission.

i will try to post the pix of the converted wheel and explain how we melted a chunk of high grade aluminum then filled up the space of the sprocket type hub of the fzx750 rear wheel....tnx for the compliments,robbo.

sorry verified the actual swingarm, its not a XS nor a XV750 swingarm but its a Seca 750 swingarm...sorry guys...test rode it....it has a sweet ride....ill post the pics of its end result...and maybe a video.
